Victorian Community History Awards entries now open

Entries are now being accepted into the prestigious Victorian Community History Awards, which recognise outstanding examples of historical research and interpretation of Victoria’s heritage.

The Victorian Community History Awards, managed by Public Record Office Victoria in partnership with the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, have been held each year since 1999.

From local histories to history apps, tours, multimedia projects and more, the Victorian Community History Awards recognise excellence in historical research across a range of formats and media. The award categories are: 

  • Victorian Community History Award – $5000
  • History Publication Award – $2000
  • Local History – Small Publication Award – $1500
  • Local History Project Award – $2000
  • Young Historians Award (Students from years 3-12) – $5000
  • Collaborative Community History Award – $2000
  • Multimedia History Award – $2000
  • Historical Interpretation Award – $2000

Entries close at 5pm on Friday 1 August 2014.
